The Lock In

Above are The Lock In Weekend’s Highlights; a mixture of all the videos shot and produced across the charity event.

The below article has been produced from material from my Lives Online Blog.

Fancy being “Locked In” a Radio Studio?

Well, that’s exactly what three Spark presenters will be doing with their time, this weekend. As part of it’s Christmas celebrations, the team at 107 Spark FM & Spark TV are asking for the community of Sunderland to support a local charity.

If U Care ShareBased in Durham and operating across the North East, If U Care Share was a charity set up in memory of Daniel O’Hare, at the age of 19, who quite suddenly committed suicide. Daniel’s family wished to create something positive out of this very sudden passing. Working alongside the Samaritans, they raised £48,000 for various fundraising activities, including the Charity’s wristbands. Money raised is now utilised on Young People’s Projects in the North East.

In wake of the recent tragic loss of Gary Speed, in my heart, the work that charities such as If U Care Share provide are invaluable to our society.

The presenters who will be spending their weekend locked away, will be revealed on 107 Spark FM throughout the week.

The Spark Sunderland team will be out in force across the city, with their T-Shirts, Buckets and Charity wristbands, raising money for the cause.

I’ll be organising and producing Spark TV‘s coverage of the event. You will not only be able to hear all the antics on 107 Spark FM, but you’ll also be able to watch the presenters being put through their paces on a live stream 24/7 at SparkSunderland.com

There’s tons of work to do, and I don’t expect to get much sleep this weekend. But I’ve been assured by the “creative team” that there are many tasks the presenters have to face that will keep everyone awake (probably resulting into lots of laughs)!

If you’re local to Sunderland, please come on down and get involved with this worthy cause – Join the Facebook Event.
